                       ♥computer generation♥

First generation(1940-1956)

vacuum tubes
=> world war gave rise to numerous development and started of the computer age. Electronic numerical integrator and computer (ENIAC) was produced by a partnership between university of Pensylvania and the US government. It can do a task at a time and it take an entire room because its to huge or big.

second generation (1956-1963)

Transistors
=>these transistors took place of the vacuum tubes use in the first generation of computer. First large scale machines where made using this technologies to meet the requirements of atomic energy laboratories. One of the other benefits to the programming group was that the second generation replace machine language with the assembly language. Even though complex in itself assembly language was much easier than the binary code.

Third Generation (1964-1971)

Integrated circuit (IC)
=> The integrated circuit (IC) was invented in 1958 by jack kilby.it combine electronic components onto a small silicon disk, made from qouartz more advacement made possible the fitings of even more components on a small chip or a semi conductor .also in third generation computer the operating systems allowed the machines to run many different applications were monitored and coordinated by the computers memory.

Fourth Genertion

microprocessor
=>Fourth generation computers are the modern day components, incorporates  most or all of the function of a central processing unit (CPU) on a single integrated circuit.examples, small computers become more powerful, use for networking, development of GUIs (graphical user interface),development the mouse and handheld devices.

Fifth generation (present and beyond)

Artificial Intelligence (AI)
=>still development for example the robot.
